AT&T taps first Canadian director

TORONTO - AT&T has named its first-ever Canadian director and sales centre VP of Global Services Canada.Aisha Umar will be responsible for the regional sales organization across the country, including offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal, and will manage the company's Canadian portfolio which includes virtual private networking, unified communications, business continuity, security and hosting and network integrationCurrently the technology advisor to the Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, Umar was previously director, central region at Avaya Canada. She also held various roles at IBM, Microsoft and Metafore IT
