AT&T inks $1.6 billion global deal with Shell

THE HAGUE, Netherlands – AT&T has signed a five-year $1.6 billion deal to be the global provider of advanced communications services for Royal Dutch Shell (Shell), the telco announced Monday. Under the commercial contract described as one of AT&T's largest with a company headquartered in Europe, the U.S. telco will provide, manage and maintain Shell’s worldwide communications infrastructure and manage its global mobility needs. The AT&T deal is one of three outsourcing contracts signed by Shell with key suppliers of networking and IT services.
