AT&T enhances its Internet security services in Canada

TORONTO – AT&T announced Tuesday that it has expanded its security service Network-Based Firewall into Canada, following the introduction last year of Internet Protect. Network-Based Firewall is a security solution that allows companies to prevent unauthorized entry onto corporate networks, without the expense of premises-based equipment. The network-based security devices reside in AT&T’s Internet Data Centre (IDC) to reduce a client’s capital expenditure, risk of technological obsolescence and need for additional staff members.
