TORONTO – Canadian South Asian broadcaster Asian Television Network (ATN) announced today it will broadcast several cricket series live this summer.
This includes India’s tour of West Indies, which begins Friday July 22 and will consist of eight white ball games, according to a press release.
“ATN will also air New Zealand’s tour of the West Indies after India’s tour which is planned from August 10th onwards and will feature 3 T201 + 3 ODIs,” the release says.
“ATN has also acquired the rights to The European Cricket Championship 2022 which will be held over five weeks at the magnificent Cartama Oval, Malaga, Spain,” says the release. The championship, taking place starting Sept. 12, is a professional Ten10 cricket league.
The series will all air live on ATN’s two sports channels – Commonwealth Broadcast Network and ATN Cricket Plus.
“ATN was the first to bring the World Cup of Cricket live to Canada nearly three decades ago. Since then we have continued to bring as many Exciting events as possible,” said Dr. Shan Chandrasekar, ATN’s president and CEO. “We intend aggressively expanding our interest in World Class Cricket in the coming years.”
