ATN sees revenues continue to slide, reports larger loss

TORONTO — Canada’s largest South Asian broadcaster, Asian Television Network International (ATN), reported Monday for the full-year 2019, its operating revenue was down and the company attributed this to “increased Internet piracy and consumers shifting towards illegal digital IPTV set-top boxes”, according to the management discussion and analysis document filed with Sedar, which accompanied the news release. ATN’s operating revenue for fiscal 2019 was almost $12 million, down from $14.8 million for fiscal 2018.
