ALEXANDRIA, Va. – CTAM Canada chapter president Domenic Vivolo will receive a prestigious TAMI Award at the CTAM Summit next month in Washington.
The Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) announced the recipients of the 2007 Rainmaker and TAMI Awards for extraordinary service to the organization on Wednesday.
The TAMI Award recognizes exceptional volunteer service and leadership. This award is given annually to outstanding member volunteers who have contributed significantly to the overall success and growth of the organization, says the press release. The TAMI Award recognizes recipients’ creativity and effort in the development of various events and programs. The recipients of the 2007 TAMI Awards are:
* Domenic Vivolo, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Astral Television Networks – For his strategic leadership of CTAM Canada, including the creation of new chapter benefits, such as InTouch, a Canadian-based version of the Pulse, and becoming the only chapter Corporate Patron of the Educational Foundation, which allows Canadian members to compete to attend CTAM U.
* Daniel Fischer, President, Solve It Group LLC – For extraordinary research support in the development of CTAM’s landmark multi-phase Broadband Study, including identifying broadband video content to be studied, participating in the qualitative sessions and shaping the innovative “fusion” segment.
* Shawn Gannon, Vice President, National Affiliate Marketing, Playboy Entertainment Inc. – For enthusiastic leadership in planning, developing and launching the CTAM Midwest chapter, which replaced stand-alone chapters in Chicago, Indiana and Ohio, and brought together CTAM members in eight states.
* Jo Holz, Vice President, News Research, NBC Universal – For her successful co-leadership of the record-breaking 2007 Research Conference, which focused on the theme Now It’s Personal: Cable Inside, Outside & Beyond the Box with headliners Kathleen Frankovic, CBS News and Morgan Spurlock, Supersize Me.
* Laura Masse, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel – For being a super volunteer on the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Summits, helping develop the organizing principles, and producing outstanding sessions on brand marketing and creative to increase CTAM’s service to consumer marketers.
The Rainmaker Award is given to CTAM members who have played an essential role in supporting CTAM’s primary goal of helping the cable industry grow. Recipients are recognized for their exceptional contributions to CTAM’s corporate initiatives. This year’s winners are:
* Gary Dusa, Director of Sales Development, Insight Communications — For leadership in growing the Cable Movers Hotline industry-wide and guiding Insight’s 26% increase in call volume from 2005 to 2006 through innovative training, support systems and motivational efforts.
* Ellen East, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, Cox Communications Inc. – For strategic leadership on multiple CTAM committees bringing together public relations and marketing executives, culminating in three years as co-chair of the Integrated Communications Committee, which tells cable’s positive story through media tours, earned media, blog monitoring and influencer research.
* Robert Faught, Senior Vice President, Retail Sales, Comcast – For committed leadership of the Retail Committee, which has expanded service to members through consumer and retail sales representative research, co-operative sponsorship of the Best Buy national incentive programs and providing consumer and retailer focused guidance on Go2Broadband.
* Andre Martineau, Senior Director, Business Solutions, Advance/Newhouse Communications – For four years of extraordinary, consistent leadership on the Business Services Council, including leading the development of the Best Practices Subcommittee, as well as active participation on Council and Forum Planning Committees.
* Stacy Melle, Vice President, Marketing, NBC Universal Digital Distribution – For three years of extraordinary participation and leadership of the On Demand Consortium, overseeing the creation of strategy and projects that have resulted in successful development of consumer research and marketing best practices.
* David Pugliese, Vice President, Product Marketing, Cox Communications Inc. – For launching and leading the Telephone Committee by recruiting participants from all of the MSOs, expanding programs to serve division and field executives and providing a forum for substantive information exchange.
