MONTREAL – Astral Media’s third annual National Day of Caring for Kids radiothon is set to air on May 5.
Broadcast by over 60 English-language radio stations in more than 30 cities in support of large children’s hospitals and health care facilities across the country, last year’s event raised over $7 million dollars in twelve hours.
“This very unique Astral Radiothon day, dedicated at raising funds for sick kids, is the largest of its kind in Canada,” said Rob Farina, EVP of content and platform for Astral Radio, in the press release. “We are extremely proud to bring all our radio stations together on this special day to offer unprecedented support to our communities. This is a great demonstration of our commitment in helping improve care given to thousands of sick children across the country and ensure that doctors and nurses who care for them have access to the best equipment available.”
Astral’s multi-platform ad campaign in support of the radiothon kicked off Monday across its radio stations and television services, as well as on its outdoor advertising network and most of its websites.
