TORONTO – The Astral Media radio team is helping to explain the new Portable People Meter (PPM) measurement system to their advertisers and agencies through on-line tutorials.
The six web presentations, which the company calls “capsules”, are about five minutes long and cover topics from how the PPM works to considerations for buying radio in a PPM world. Available in English and French, the capsules can be downloaded at www.infoppm.astralmediaradio.ca. The group is also offering dedicated e-mail and telephone support for the new system.
As Cartt.ca reported earlier this week, the radio measurement methods in major markets across Canada are changing starting this fall. Montreal is the first market in Canada to use PPM, beginning next month, and Toronto and Vancouver will begin early next year.
