MONTREAL – Astral Media and TVA Group have announced plans to move their Médiasdiversité forum to the web later this year.
Founded in 2005, Médiasdiversité, (which was known as Télédiversité until 2009), is a forum committed to reflecting and representing cultural diversity in Québec’s private media. The companies said that upgrading the event to 2.0 will enable it to continue fulfilling its primary mission in a new user-friendly, accessible, and dynamic environment.
Over the next few months, the forum’s website will be turned into an interactive portal featuring video capsules, interviews, a virtual job and trade fair, as well as news from Québec broadcasters. In keeping with Médiasdiversité’s primary mission, the mandate to transform the site will be awarded to a student from one of the three targeted groups representing cultural diversity and who is pursuing university studies in broadcasting, communications, journalism or another field deemed relevant.
