VANCOUVER – Astral Media Radio Sales will represent Shore 104 FM, Vancouver’s newest radio station which is scheduled to hit the airwaves on June 1, 2009.
Shore 104 FM (CHHR-FM) joins two other Astral-owned stations in the market, Virgin Radio 95.3 (CKZZ-FM) and AM 650 (CISL).
The new Adult Album Alternative (AAA) station will play "music that is familiar yet progressive and unique in the market’’, geared to listeners aged 25 – 54 "who are thoughtful and discerning with eclectic musical tastes", and an equal mix of male and female listeners, according to the press release.
"We are excited to enter into this partnership with Shore 104 FM," said Joan Kaminski, vice president of national sales, in the release. "The addition of Shore 104 FM to the Astral Vancouver station cluster gives national radio buyers access to a group of stations that covers a broad format spectrum."
Astral Media Radio Sales represents 125 radio stations across Canada through sales offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and New York.
Shore 104 FM is a private company owned by a group of broadcast and business veterans including David Aisenstat, Roy Hennessy, Sam Feldman, Bob Mackowycz and son Bob Mackowycz Jr., Sean Morrison and Michael Landsberg.
