TORONTO – Astral Out-of-Home is mixing together artists and marketers and encouraging them to “show their colours” by providing a “playground” called Face/Ad/Blog where they can share industry knowledge. The new online resource and corresponding Twitter and Facebook assets showcase bold and cutting-edge projects.
The new online platform not only brings together artists, photographers, designers, architects and “some of the most ingenious minds in advertising and marketing,” but also offers “infinite possibilities to create inspiration” says Astral. The platform will highlight great examples of creativity from across the country, and shares the industry knowledge and insights from key influencers and specialists in the field.
"Out-of-home advertising changes our perception of the urban landscape and we wanted to provide the marketers and advertisers responsible with an online platform to inspire their creativity," said Nathalie Doré, Vice-President, Marketing and Media Creativity at Astral Out-of-Home. "Our partners are always seeking new ideas, industry trends, and information about what's being done at home and abroad. With Face/Ad/Blog we're giving them exactly that, and aiming to start conversations, inform and inspire."
To engage their clients, Astral Out-of-Home has created a large format publication made out of posters, which feature artwork and stories about influential artists and non-artists who help give our cities their creative character. Astral Out-of-Home is delivering the posters to their partners to help inspire and ultimately drive them to be part of the dialogue on Face/Ad/Blog.
"It was important that we find an innovative way to market the online platform to those who know marketing best," said Doré. "The posters tell our story in a creative way and introduce Face/Ad/Blog to our clients, and give them something to remember it by."

The online site is already live with content developed by Editor-in-Chief, Anne-Marie Archambault, including photos and interviews with influencers like the country's leading designer of street furniture, the art group GRL from Vancouver and Montréal's own En Masse. As the online platform evolves Astral Out-of-Home will continue to look for content that is “fearless, optimistic, passionate and ties back to the tag line: Show Your Colours.”
