Astral bottles up Bogias


TORONTO – Astral Television Networks has appointed Nick Bogias as director, affiliate marketing, announced Domenic Vivolo, senior vice-president, marketing and sales.

In this role, Bogias (pictured) and his team will be responsible for developing strategic affiliate marketing programs for The Movie Network, Family Channel, Mpix, and Viewers Choice brands which will capitalize on opportunities with affiliate satellite and cable companies, says the release.

He will also be responsible for developing new channels for the services, building cross-functional teams to enhance affiliate customer service, and leveraging technologies, programs and brands in order to maximize acquisition and retention initiatives.

“Nick Bogias’ extensive consumer product experience will be invaluable to driving growth in Astral Television Networks subscriber base. We look to him to lead our affiliate initiatives in order to help build the connection of our brands with the consumer through our key affiliate customers,” said Mr. Vivolo, in the release.

Bogias comes to Astral after a fifteen-year tenure at Pepsi Bottling Group Canada where he most recently served as national business development manager. In this role, he was responsible for building a $130-million portfolio of national customers.

Before moving into this role, Mr. Bogias was director of retail for the Ontario region of Pepsi Bottling Group Canada, focusing on forecasts, pricing strategy, new product launches, marketing initiatives and merchandising standards for all channels in Ontario.

Prior to Pepsi Bottling Group Canada, Mr. Bogias held sales positions with Chocolate Products Company and Canada Packers Incorporated.
