Telesat Canada announces proposed notes offering

OTTAWA - Telesat Canada has announced plans to issue US$750 million of senior notes due 2024, together with Telesat LLC as co-issuer.In connection with the proposed offering, Telesat said it intends to enter into a new credit facility that is expected to provide for term loan borrowings of US$2.18 billion and revolving credit borrowings of up to US$200 million.Telesat added that it will use the net proceeds from the proposed offering of senior notes, together with the proceeds from term loan borrowings under the new credit facilities and cash on hand, to (i) redeem its US$900 million aggregate principal amount outstanding of...
