WOODSTOCK, ON – Execulink Telecom is in the final stages of their Fibre-to-the-Home project in Melrose, ON, the first community to benefit from funding received from the federal government’s Connecting Canadians program.
As Cartt.ca reported, funding from the program will be used to increase broadband Internet access for over 2,000 households in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. Execulink said that final hookups in the town of Lobo will begin in June, and that it also hopes to start construction in Poplar Hill and Coldstream in April, followed by Denfield and Carlisle.
“Melrose is just the beginning,” said Execulink CEO Ian Stevens, in the news release. “We’re excited to bring our advanced technology to other communities in the area. To know that our Fibre services will greatly improve the day-to-day lives of these local communities—that’s something we take great pride in.”
