Arris sues Harmonic over VOD patents

ATLANTA, GA - Arris is suing rival Harmonic over video-on-demand patents, according to a report from Bloomberg.The Georgia-based maker of VOD equipment for cable companies filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Harmonic Inc. on April 19 over servers that store or distribute movies. The story says that Arris is seeking cash compensation for the unauthorized use of its inventions, plus a court order to halt further infringement.Click here to read the full report.
