Arctic Co-operatives enlists Adara for enhanced video delivery solution

TORONTO – Winnipeg cooperative federation Arctic Co-operatives announced last week it has selected Adara Technologies to deliver to its member businesses upgraded video services, including enhanced capabilities to deliver ultra-high-definition 4K.

The video solution will first be deployed in the Rankin Inlet, Arctic Bay, Pangnirtung, Igloolik, Iqaluit and Pond Inlet areas, which represents 2,500 subscribers, a press release said.

Arctic initially thought to build its own video solution, but went with Adara instead. “Adara brings an impressive depth and breadth of engineering and operational expertise in video. We believe that our customers deserve the best in both video quality and overall user experience—despite our remote locations—and we are extremely confident that Adara will enable that for us,” said Keith Moffat, Arctic’s manager of external IT and innovation and infrastructure, in the release.

“Adara’s extensive expertise and experience in Bandwidth Reclamation for broadband expansion and bandwidth efficiency as well as in hosting and managing advanced video solutions for a wide-range of service providers of all sizes makes us a perfect match for the needs of Arctic Co-op,” Alesio Cicchelli, Adara’s vice president of global operations and Canadian sales, added in the release.
