APTN’s Indigenous Day Live postponed


WINNIPEG — Indigenous broadcaster APTN announced today its Indigenous Day Live 2020 series of events, scheduled for June 20, is being postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“In accordance with the most recent recommendations and directions from the federal and provincial health authorities, APTN has made the difficult decision to reschedule Indigenous Day Live 2020,” reads the news release.

As reported by Cartt.ca, this year’s Indigenous Day Live events were to take place in Winnipeg, Whitehorse and Membertou First Nation in Nova Scotia, with APTN providing a multiplatform live broadcast of the events on Saturday, June 20.

The broadcaster said Indigenous Day Live will occur at a later date and possibly be delivered in an alternate format.
