APTN first aboriginal network in the world to show live Olympics

TORONTO – The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN)'s coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games will make it the first Aboriginal network in the world to air a live Olympic broadcast. The network will show 10 hours of daily coverage in a mix of Aboriginal, French and English, available in high definition on APTN HD.  It will also air the Games' opening and closing ceremonies in Aboriginal languages, with French and English subtitles. APTN is one of 11 television networks within Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium which holds the rights to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
