WITH THE BEGINNING OF the policy review hearings into broadcast distribution undertakings and specialty services getting under way in a week, Cartt.ca will publish a feature a day until then, focused on the main issues the industry players themselves have identified.
Beginning with today’s story on the potential for the emergence of a new advertising paradigm – and the spider web of challenges that must be overcome to get there, we’ve analyzed many of the submissions and interviewed a range of executives in the industry to set out in our preview pieces how we think these hearings will break down.
Then, next week, I will be filing coverage from the first week of the hearings in Ottawa before I head to the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas to cover that show the following week.
With these extremely important hearings going on at the same time as NAB, Cartt.ca will be on top of things as we deploy a total of six writers and contributing editors who will cover the hearings, NAB and the rest of the normal news cycle throughout the month of April.
With such important and plentiful news this month, Cartt.ca will also go daily through April, sending out our e-newsletter every single day, leading with fresh, original, you-can-only-find-it-here content.
This is no April Fool’s prank, it’s Cartt.ca’s commitment to the industry and our readers. We hope you enjoy the coverage.
