Applications for Ontario broadband and cellular program opens today

TORONTO – The Ontario government has opened the application intake for its $150 million Improving Connectivity for Ontario program (ICON). Telecommunication service providers, municipalities, Indigenous communities and non-profits are invited to submit proposals. Any region which doesn’t have access to 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds are eligible. The preliminary application deadline for the first intake of the ICON program is August 21, 2020.
