BAIKONUR, KAZAKHSTAN - This evening (or, tomorrow morning, on the other side of the world), Telesat's Anik F3 will blast off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The new bird will provide valuable broadcasting and telecommunications capacity, business communications and Internet-based services throughout North America. Anik F3 is Telesat's second European-built satellite.
