And Now Global acquires 100-plus hours of content ahead of Digital MIPTV


VANCOUVER — Canadian distributor And Now Global announced today it has picked up seven new producers and more than 100 hours of content for international distribution ahead of the Digital MIPTV conference and market this April.

The Vancouver-based company says this is its biggest acquisition to date.

The newly acquired series include: Fly Brother with Ernest White II (above, 10 episodes x 30 minutes, HD), a new travel show airing on PBS and Create TV in the U.S.; Classical Stretch (138 x 30 min, HD), a long-time fitness program airing on U.S. public television that targets adults 50 and up; Camera Gags (26 x 30 min, 4K), a new hidden-camera series; and Toy Seekers (26 x 5 min), animated shorts for kids from Hungary.

Other noteworthy titles include two Canadian drama movies: Tulipani, Honour, Love and a Bicycle (1 x 90 min, HD), directed by Mike Van Diem and co-produced with Netherlands and Italy by Toronto-based DCTV Productions; and Bella Ciao! (1 x 90 min, HD), a Carolyn Combs film by Commercial Drive Productions.

And Now Global also acquired the U.S. documentary JonBénet’s Tricycle (1 x 90 min, HD).
