TORONTO – Heather Allin has been acclaimed for a second term as president of ACTRA Toronto.

An ACTRA Toronto member for 17 years, Allin served as an elected councillor for nine years, with eight of those as vice-president. She has also sat on ACTRA’s bargaining committees for both the film and television agreement and the commercial agreement.

“To have received the confidence of ACTRA Toronto’s governing council with a second term as President is an honour and a trust,” said Allin, in a statement. “On behalf of our membership of performers, I look forward to building on our successes. Toronto is a vibrant, growing, fiercely competitive and globally recognized centre of excellence for the production of all forms of screened entertainment”.

ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing over 15,000 of 21,000 professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada.
