Aliant TV introduces MPEG-4 technology to Atlantic Canada

HALIFAX – Aliant announced Thursday that it’s the first company in Atlantic Canada to utilize MPEG-4 technology, which will provide clearer pictures on its Aliant TV service. “Our customers’ favourite shows will be sharper and clearer as a result of our investment in MPEG-4 technology,” said Aliant director of consumer marketing, Claudine Langan, in a media release. “Our customers can now enjoy our value-packed television service on up to three televisions – large or small – delivering a high-quality digital viewing experience.” Aliant also said it continues to enhance its broadband network to deliver innovative IP-based services like Aliant TV....
