HALIFAX – Eastern telco Aliant said today it will spend $1.7 million to provide high-speed Internet to rural Halifax Regional Municipality.
The company is expanding high speed to 43 communities in the Eastern Shore area as part of new project which is was selected for by Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and government funding partners. HRM is providing project management services, and, the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia are providing funding for this project. The deployment of High Speed across the area is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

West Jeddore, Head of Jeddore, Myers Point, Salmon River Bridge, Oyster Pond, Lake Charlotte, Watt Section, East Jeddore, Hartlin Settlement Sheet Harbour Passage, Sober Island, Upper Lakeville, West Quoddy, Port Dufferin, East Quoddy, Clam Bay, Moser River, Necum Teuch, Clam Harbour, Moosehead, Harrigan Cove, Little Harbour, Owl’s Head, Southwest Cove, Ecum Secum, Ship Harbour, Upper Musquodoboit Greenwood, Tangier, Popes Harbour, Pleasant Harbour, Middle Musquodoboit, Glenmore, South Section, Brookvale, Murphy’s Cove, East Ship Harbour, Meaghers Grant, Sheet Harbour Elderbank, Wyses Corner, Spry Bay, Mushaboom.
