Aliant brings more speed to St. John’s

ST. JOHN’s – Aliant has added a high speed premium Internet service in St. John’s NL, the company announced today.

The Halifax-based telco has spent $14 million in the St. John’s area to build its new “next generation” high-speed premium service, says the company.

Aliant’s premium broadband service delivers up-to 10 Mbps service, which is up to six times faster than the current Aliant high-speed product in the market today and is aimed at its top consumers of video and other multimedia content over the web.

“We’re making a significant multi-million dollar investment for customers in St. John’s and surrounding areas,” said Heather Tulk, senior vice-president marketing, Aliant, in the press release. “They will be the first to access our leading-edge High-Speed Premium service.”
