IRVINE, CA – Alcatel has named Wayne White as vice-president of sales for North America.
White (pictured) joins Alcatel from Toronto-based Kobo where he served as EVP sales & marketing. Prior to Kobo, he held various positions at Motorola, as well as Verizon Wireless, AT&T Ameritech and General Electric.
White assumes responsibility for growing the company’s mobile phone product family among carriers and expanding Alcatel’s presence in the enterprise segment.
Alcatel mobile devices are manufactured and marketed by TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited (TCT) with its North America headquarters based in Irvine.
"TCT's mobility business under the Alcatel brand has experienced tremendous growth over the past eight quarters, growing into one of the leading four mobile device manufacturers in our market," said TCT North America president and GM Steve Cistulli, in the announcement. "Continuing this growth requires us to have an industry veteran, with the leadership and experience that Wayne can bring to Alcatel, and at a time when we we're looking at even greater business and brand growth in the years to come."
