Adara upgrades digital video network for U.S.-based Darien, Beaver Creek Telephone


TORONTO, ON – Adara Technologies recently announced the launch of its digital video network upgrade solution for two service providers, Darien Communications of Georgia and Beaver Creek Telephone (BCT) of Oregon.

Adara’s hosted and managed switched digital video upgrade capability enables service provides to add hundreds of incremental HD channels to their lineup. Combined with advanced, web-connected set-top boxes upgradable to a next-generation user experience, the solution enables operators the option of delivering applications such as IPTV widgets, impulse up-sell, OTT video, enhanced global search, interactive social TV applications and whole home DVR.

The company says the upgrades are designed to reduce long-term operational costs and business risk and enable a pay-as-you-grow mechanism for each provider’s consumer base.

Adara’s hosted and managed video solution is applicable to both Moto-shops and Cisco-shops and does not require a fork-lift replacement of the operator’s investment in set-top boxes, CAS and headend.
