ACTRA elects new national executive


TORONTO – The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) has added two executives to its elected leadership.Tyrone Benskin was acclaimed for his second term as national vice president and Theresa Tova was acclaimed as the new national treasurer.The new national executive beginning a two-year term is:- Howard Storey, B.C.;- Brian Gromoff, Alberta;- Shannon Jardine, Saskatchewan/Manitoba;- Heather Allin and Theresa Tova, Toronto;- Tyrone Benskin, Ottawa/Montreal; and - Nigel Bennett, Maritimes/Newfoundland.They join Ferne Downey who was elected to her two-year term as national president in May 2009.ACTRA represents 21,000 professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada.www.actra.ca
