AccessNow TV to air virtual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards show


REGINA — Access Communications Co-operative announced today the 33rd Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards show, presented by AccessNow TV and Creative Saskatchewan, will air live on Saturday, April 23 at 8 p.m. (CST) on AccessNow TV channels.

The show will also live stream at myaccess.ca/scma.

“This year’s awards gala will be virtual, with live performances on AccessNow TV and streamed on our App and website,” explains Tracey Mucha, community programming manager at Access Communications, in a press release.

“The Saskatchewan Country Music Association is delighted with our multi-year partnership with AccessNow TV,” said Jesse Weiman, president of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA).

“The purpose of the SCMA is to promote, assist, and enhance the development of Saskatchewan country music. Access Communications helps make that possible by producing our Annual SCMA Awards show and broadcasting it to their viewers on AccessNow TV and YouTube. We are grateful for their support.”

This year’s show will be hosted by country artist Brock Andrews and local country radio host Cristy Beggs. It will feature performances by the Hunter Brothers, Tenille Arts, JJ Voss, Last Birds, Katelyn Lehner, Berk Jodoin, Jordyn Pollard, Alex Runions, Wolf Willow, Darryl Anderson, Munro & Patrick, and Jake Vaadeland, according to the press release.
