TORONTO – Access Communications and SaskTel are adding Family Channel’s on demand platform to their digital lineups.
Astral’s Family OnDemand offers programming from both Family Channel and Playhouse Disney, with over 40 hours of programming refreshed on a weekly basis, the press release said.
The service will debut on Access on March 17, and on SaskTel in April, at no additional charge to subscribers who receive Family Channel.
“Increasingly, younger viewers are driving changes to the television-viewing landscape and nowhere is this more apparent than with Family Channel where our audience has come to demand on demand”, said Joe Tedesco, vice president and general manager of Family Channel and Playhouse Disney, in the release. “Whether it’s tweens taking advantage of the service to watch exclusive Family premieres or children and parents revisiting their favourite Playhouse Disney episodes over and over again, our audience has embraced opportunities to access programming on demand, making the service a must-have in many households.”
