REGINA – The Access Communications Pumpkin Patrol will once again take to the streets this Halloween in several Saskatchewan communities.

Access said that volunteers and community partners will be out in its vehicles – identifiable by orange flashing lights and signage – from 6 to 9 PM on Halloween eve to act as a safe point of contact for trick-or-treaters in Regina, Weyburn, Estevan, Battleford, North Battleford, Yorkton, Humboldt, Melfort, Warman, Martensville, Air Ronge and La Ronge.

“Pumpkin Patrol is just one of the ways Access Communications is involved in the communities we serve,” said communications manager Tracey Mucha, in the news release.  “Our employee-volunteers have a great time out there while they are providing a valuable public service.  The more people know about the program before Halloween, the greater the deterrent effect of the vehicles patrolling the streets.”
