REGINA — Access Communications Co-operative today officially launched its AccessNow TV app, making its linear TV channel content available to viewers across Canada.
“For over 40 years, our community channels have told the stories of Saskatchewan, showcasing the diversity of our communities. With our new AccessNow TV app, you can take Saskatchewan with you anywhere you go,” said Tracey Mucha, community programming manager at Access Communications, in a press release. “Our new app is available to all Canadians, letting everyone watch live or restart a show as far back as 72 hours. Best of all? The app is free to use for all existing AccessTV subscribers.”
For existing AccessTV customers, there is no additional cost to use the new app. Access customers who already subscribe to Internet, phone or security services can purchase a standalone subscription to the AccessTV app at a discounted rate of $2.95 per month. The cost for new Access customers is currently $3.95 per month.
Available for download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, the AccessNow TV app works on iOS and Android devices, including smartphones, tablets and home streaming devices.
The app currently features AccessNow TV’s Regina community stream, and it will soon offer up to nine community streams from the Battlefords, Estevan, Gravelbourg/Gull Lake, Humboldt/Melfort, La Ronge/Air Ronge, Martensville/Warman, Weyburn, and Yorkton/Melville, says the press release.
