REGINA – Access Communications has brought its expanded Internet and TV services to Canora.

The community-owned co-operative said Thursday that Canora residents may now sign on for its  AccessHyperSpeed Internet service, with download speeds up to 25 Mbps.  All Access Internet packages include free installation, spam and email virus filtering, and 24/7 helpdesk support.

The company's expanded TV service includes new set-top boxes that it says are the gateway to enhanced entertainment services like 100% digital picture and sound, an advanced interactive program guide, and expanded channel line-up with over 100 new channels and services including premium sports services MLB Extra innings, NFL Sunday Ticket and NHL Centre Ice.  Customers may also stream their favourite TV shows and movies with AccessTV ToGo.

“We recognize that rural residents and businesses in Saskatchewan need access to quality Internet and TV,” said Access marketing manager Ryan Howard, in the news release.  “That is why we are currently upgrading our systems and infrastructure now in over 60 communities in rural Saskatchewan in order to bring faster Internet, and enhanced TV services to more of our customers.”
