A healthy new show


MONTREAL – Oromedia and The New 940MONTREAL announced today the creation of HealthAccess, a weekly health radio program geared to health and wellness.

Heard every Thursday evening from 8 to 10 p.m. on 940 AM radio, HealthAccess will be hosted by nursing administrator Donna Byrne (MScN) and Charles Pitts. Guests will include patients, caregivers, patient advocates, medical experts and health media.

In addition to broadcasting in greater Montreal, the show will be heard across Canada on the web at www.940news.com, and listeners can call in questions to 514 790-0006 or by e-mail to healthaccess@oromedia.com.

Byrne is a senior health care professional and director of HealthAccessSanté, a group that provides the services of nurses, nurses’ aides, care givers for seniors and special-needs patients.

Pitts is a senior healthcare communications executive and the former director of a national patient advocacy alliance.

This week, the program will focus on Alzheimer’s disease and related health and social issues.
