Quebecor’s wireless brand Fizz Mobile announced Tuesday it is growing its in-store presence through a distribution agreement with EB Games Canada.
Through the partnership, an exclusive $25 Fizz starter pack is now available for purchase at 140 EB Games retail locations across Canada, Fizz said in a press release.
Designed for video gamers, the starter pack includes a SIM card and an eSIM, a $75 credit automatically added to the customer’s account upon activation, a one-time allotment of 100 GB of additional mobile data valid for 12 months (certain conditions apply), and direct access to the second tier of the Fizz loyalty program, unlocking greater rewards.
After picking up the pack, customers can customize their mobile plan online and complete the activation of their Fizz service.
“By extending its offer to EB Games Canada’s network of stores, Fizz is reaching out to a community it knows well — one made up of curious, independent people who love to explore and get the most out of every choice. With a starter pack designed for gamers, rewards that keep growing and perks to unlock, we’re giving these customers the simplest way to take their mobile experience to the next level,” Martin Gendron, general manager of Fizz, said in the press release.
“Our customers are drawn to brands that do things differently,” Stephan Tetrault, owner of EB Games Canada, said in a statement. “Fizz’s fresh approach and customer-first model align naturally with that mindset. By bringing a new perspective to wireless, Fizz is a natural fit for our community and a great addition to the in-store experience we provide our customers.”
With its online business model, Fizz sells its SIM cards either directly to customers online or via its retail partners, which include Couche-Tard, Jean Coutu, Circle K, and now EB Games Canada, as well as via vending machines in Montreal metro stations. The $25 starter pack is exclusive to EB Games Canada and available only to new Fizz mobile customers.
