
Corus Entertainment last week announced the 2026-27 programming slate for its specialty channels, including 11 Canadian original titles spanning lifestyle, factual and entertainment programming.
“Corus remains committed to investing in premium specialty programming that audiences genuinely connect with through standout content and purposeful commissions that champion homegrown talent and original storytelling,” Jennifer Abrams, senior vice president of content and marketing at Corus Entertainment, said in a press release. “By pairing beloved franchises and proven hits with both emerging and established talent, we continue to deliver premium entertainment experiences that resonate with viewers nationwide while creating meaningful value for advertisers.”
Home Network’s 2026-27 lineup will include five new and returning Canadian series, including: the recently greenlit Love It or List It West (Big Coat Media; eight episodes x 60 minutes), set in Calgary and hosted by interior designer Amanda Hamilton and real estate agent Robbie Kamaleddine; new series Property Pursuit (McGillivray Entertainment Media; 18 episodes x 60 minutes), which sees designer Debra Salmoni help ambitious homeowners climb the property ladder; Season 2 of Beer Budget Reno (Blue Ant Studios; 10 episodes x 60 minutes); Season 4 of Rock Solid Builds (Cineflix; eight episodes x 60 minutes); and Season 2 of House of Ali (Nikki Ray Media Agency; eight episodes x 60 minutes).
Flavour Network’s new and returning Canadian original series include: new spinoff series Top Chef Canada: The Dessert Table (Insight Productions; six episodes x 60 minutes), hosted by Top Chef Canada’s Eden Grinshpan; Season 13 of Top Chef Canada (Insight Productions; eight episodes x 60 minutes); Season 2 of Halloween Bakeshop (Nikki Ray Media Agency; seven episodes x 60 minutes); and Season 2 of Holiday Bakeshop (Nikki Ray Media Agency; seven episodes x 60 minutes). Flavour Network’s programming acquisitions for 2026-27 include new seasons of chef Gordon Ramsay series including Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, Next Level Chef and Next Level Baker.
The History Channel has two upcoming Canadian original series as well as new and returning acquisition titles. The new Canadian originals include: Mountain Men: Wild North (Blue Ant Studios; 10 episodes x 60 minutes), which brings the long-running Mountain Men franchise to Canada’s remote and unforgiving northern terrain; and Countdown to Disaster (Cream Productions; eight episodes x 60 minutes), which unravels the sequence of events that transforms ordinary days into catastrophes, both natural and man-made. Acquired series coming to History Channel include Season 14 of The Curse of Oak Island, Season 2 of Hazardous History with Henry Winkler, Season 7 of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, and new series Extraordinary Origins with Ted Danson (working title), Crime and Justice with Tom Selleck (wt), and History’s Strange Fortunes with Kevin Bacon (wt).
Showcase’s 2026-27 lineup will include several series acquisitions from Peacock, including: Ted: The Animated Series, featuring the voices of Seth MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Barth; Season 2 of The Paper, starring Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Oscar Nuñez and Chelsea Frei; Season 2 of The Day of the Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne with Matt Bomer, Weruche Opia and Pablo Schrieber joining the cast; and Season 2 of cyber thriller The Undeclared War, starring Simon Pegg.
W Network’s acquisition titles include: the new Peacock comedy series Dig, executive produced by Mike Schur and Amy Poehler, who stars along with Hugh Laurie; and Season 2 of Peacock’s mystery comedy series The ʼBurbs, starring Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall. In addition, Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas will return to W Network this holiday season, as well as Season 3 of holiday whodunnit series Mistletoe Murders (Lionsgate Canada and Headspinner Productions; six episodes x 60 minutes).
Adult Swim will have the new animated comedy President Curtis, co-created by Rick and Morty executive producers Dan Harmon and James Siciliano, plus the genre-bending sketch comedy series The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza and the new series Get Jiro!, based on a graphic novel by late chef Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, set in a future Los Angeles where master chefs rule the town and people literally kill for a seat at the best restaurants.
Slice’s programming will include the premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, new episodes of House of Stassi and The Daily Show.
Corus’s lineup of kids programming will include: new series Adventure Time: Side Quests and Season 2 of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball on YTV; the return of preschool favourites Peppa Pig, Ready, Steady, Wiggle! and Rubble & Crew on Treehouse; and new supernatural dramedy Coven Academy on Disney Channel, along with new seasons of Phineas and Ferb, Big City Greens, Pupstruction and Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
