Ontario’s public broadcaster, TVO Media Education Group (TVO), announced Monday the appointment of Jeremy Dupuis as its vice president of growth, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Dupuis “will be the executive steward of TVO’s growth and self-generated revenue strategy, with accountability for delivering measurable, sustainable growth aligned with TVO’s mandate, values and risk profile,” according to a TVO press release announcing his appointment.

TVO said the creation of this new position “reflects TVO’s focus on long-term financial sustainability in a complex media environment, while continuing to safeguard the organization’s public mandate, editorial integrity, and reputation.”

Dupuis reports to recently appointed TVO CEO Pary Bell and serves as a member of the public broadcaster’s executive leadership team.

“TVO is growing, and we are making bold, deliberate and strategic investments to ensure we can continue serving Ontarians, ensuring access to lifelong learning opportunities for generations to come,” said Bell, in a statement. “Mr. Dupuis brings a track record of building and scaling revenue systems within media organizations navigating digital and organizational change. His ability to translate strong public assets into sustainable growth, while protecting trust and integrity, will be critical as TVO continues to evolve.”

According to Dupuis’s LinkedIn profile, he most recently was head of operational effectiveness, marketing and sales, for Invisible Discipline, an executive coaching and leadership development firm in Toronto. Prior to that, he worked for Torstar as general manager of Marketing 360 Canada, Star Metroland Media’s marketing platform for small business.

His other previous roles include being a freelance digital consultant, consulting with brands such as TikTok Canada, Proline and Jack Daniel’s on digital go-to-market strategies and social content optimization, and working at Rogers in several positions including director of social media and third party platforms, leading social and paid media strategy across Sportsnet, Maclean’s, CityNews, FlareToday’s Parent and Chatelaine, and head of digital strategy, planning and fan engagement for Sportsnet and NHL.
