Blue Ant distribution arm expands global sales leadership team

Blue Ant Rights, the distribution arm of Blue Ant Studios, announced Monday several leadership promotions and a new appointment across its Americas and Asia-Pacific (APAC) sales teams.

“As we head into a new phase of growth for the company, these key executive appointments allow us to maximize our dedicated regional sales support in APAC and North America, critical to scaling our content portfolio and growing our genre offering,” Mark Bishop, co-president of Blue Ant Studios, said in a press release. “We’ve built a leadership team with deep market expertise and strong global relationships with a clear goal to further expand Blue Ant Rights and unlock new opportunities for our premium content worldwide.”

In the Americas, Bryan Gabourie has been promoted to executive vice president of content monetization and head of Americas. He previously held the position of senior vice president of international sales and partnerships for the Americas region. In his new position, he will lead an expanded Americas sales organization, “with a mandate to strategically maximize the value of Blue Ant’s growing content distribution portfolio across platforms, partners, and territories,” said Blue Ant’s press release.

In addition to overseeing regional sales, Gabourie is tasked with spearheading cross-functional content monetization initiatives across the company, including digital platform growth and high-volume video-on-demand monetization, while playing a key role in portfolio strategy and commercial decision-making.

Nick Solowski has been promoted to vice president of international sales for the U.S. and Canada, expanding his current responsibilities managing the team’s Canadian sales partnerships to also include content licensing and partnerships in the U.S. In his expanded role, Solowski will work closely with the broader Americas leadership team to support the growth of existing partnerships, identify new clients and opportunities, and strengthen Blue Ant Rights’ presence across North America.

In APAC, Blue Ant Rights has hired Bruno Liporoni as vice president of international sales for Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Liporoni brings more than 20 years of experience in television and content distribution, including a decade at BBC Studios Australia where he most recently served as content sales manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to Jon Penn, Blue Ant’s managing director for APAC, Liporoni will oversee content sales across Australia, New Zealand and Japan, with a primary focus on the ANZ region, as Blue Ant continues to deepen its partnerships and accelerate sales activity across the territory, the company said in its press release.

In addition, Jason Soh, vice president of distribution for APAC, is assuming expanded responsibilities, adding oversight of content sales in China and Korea to his existing remit.

These appointments follow a series of corporate moves by Blue Ant Media. After completing its reverse takeover of Boat Rocker Media in 2025 and going public, the company completed its acquisition of U.S.-based streamer MagellanTV and announced the proposed acquisition of Thunderbird Entertainment Group.
