Community-owned not-for-profit Access Communications Co-operative said Thursday it is bringing high-speed internet to 34 Saskatchewan communities over the next year.

The communities so far connected in the first wave are Asquith, Caronport, Cupar, Kenosee Lake, Kyle, Mossbank, Preeceville, Broadview, Sedley, Elrose, Cabri, and Bethune, with Eatonia and Naicam next.

In the first quarter of 2026, the co-op plans to bring the speeds of up to one gigabit to Eastend, Radville, Elbow, Norquay, Paradise Hill and Big River; in the second quarter to Avonlea, Porcupine Plain, Sturgis, Frontier, Wawota, Edam, and Turtleford; and in the third quarter to Blaine Lake, Hanley, Herbert, Montmartre, Pierceland, Radisson, and St. Brieux.

Access has already connected 130 of the province’s communities through its major infrastructure program.

“We’re so excited to bring high-speed internet to these communities,” Carmela Haines, president and CEO of Access Communications, said in a press release. “As a Saskatchewan co-operative, we’re proud to invest where we live and work. This is about helping families stay connected, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities close to home.”

The co-op also has a TV product, a smart home and security products, and home and business phone services.
