SaskTel announced Wednesday it is now providing free access to a premium subscription of mental wellness app Calm to all of SaskTel’s postpaid and prepaid wireless customers, including subscribers of its digital-only service Lüm Mobile.

Calm offers a suite of supportive tools, including guided meditation, soundscapes, music and mindfulness exercises, designed to help relieve stress and anxiety and to support overall mental well-being.

SaskTel said in a press release this initiative is not only a first for SaskTel, but also for Calm in the Canadian market.

“Supporting the mental wellness of our customers is a natural extension of SaskTel’s commitment to being a caring and community-focused company,” Charlene Gavel, SaskTel president and CEO, said in the press release. “By working with Calm, we’re not only enhancing the value of our wireless services — we’re helping people across Saskatchewan tune out daily distractions and connect more mindfully to what matters most to them.”

“At Calm, we’re on a mission to make mental health support accessible to everyone,” said David Ko, CEO of Calm, in a statement. “We’re proud to work with SaskTel to take another step toward that mission by making Calm available to all of their wireless customers, offering them a product that grows with them on every step of their mental wellness journey.”
