Loblaw’s No Name Mobile launches in Quebec via Maxi grocery stores

Loblaw Companies Limited and Bell on Monday announced the expansion of the former’s No Name Mobile prepaid service to all Maxi grocery store locations across Quebec.

Powered by Bell’s 4G-LTE wireless network, No Name Mobile is now offering Quebecers access to low-cost mobile plans and reliable nationwide coverage via SIM cards available for purchase in several Maxi locations across the province, with the remaining locations to roll out over the next few weeks, according to a Bell press release. Loblaw owns nearly 200 Maxi discount grocery stores across Quebec.

This follows the April 2024 launch of No Name Mobile in Loblaw’s No Frills stores across the country.

No Name Mobile offers prepaid data plans starting at $19 per month for 1 GB of data. SIM cards cost $5 each (plus applicable taxes) and can be activated online. All No Name Mobile plans include unlimited calls Canada-wide and to the U.S., international texting, call display, voicemail, call waiting and three-way calling. Customers can manage their accounts via the My PC mobile app, where they can top up, switch plans and do more.

“The expansion of no name mobile into Maxi stores reflects our commitment to put the customer first by offering accessible mobile solutions without compromising on quality,” said Angela LaFosse Church, vice president of national and retail partners at Bell, in the release. “This initiative will allow even more Québecers to access Bell’s network through a mobile service that’s reliable, affordable and easy to use.”
