Rogers Sports and Media signs exclusive production deal with Baeumlers for HGTV

Rogers Sports and Media announced last week it has entered into an exclusive production deal with renovation experts and TV hosts Bryan and Sarah Baeumler for HGTV in Canada, beginning in 2027.

Under the agreement, the Baeumlers will lead the creation and production of new original unscripted series that will only be found on HGTV in Canada, according to a Rogers press release.

Bryan Baeumler is known for being a Gemini Award-winning TV host of such home renovation shows as House of BryanDisaster DIY and Leave It to Bryan, all of which were HGTV properties when Corus Entertainment owned the rights to the channel brand before Rogers took over as Canadian rightsholder in the summer of 2024. The latter two shows continue to air as reruns on Corus’s Global channel.

Bryan and his wife, Sarah, co-host Renovation Island (known as Island of Bryan in Canada) and Renovation Inc. (known as Bryan Inc. in Canada), two shows that also date back to Corus’s ownership of the licensing rights to HGTV in Canada.

Since launching its Home Network at the end of 2024, Corus has continued to have content agreements with the Baeumlers, including for their Building Baeumler show that premiered in early September on Home Network. Corus also announced earlier this year that production was starting on the third season of Renovation Resort, a renovation competition series co-hosted by Bryan Baeumler and Scott McGillivray, slated to premiere on Corus’s Home Network in spring 2026.
