Corus Entertainment announced Monday its podcast network Curiouscast has teamed up once again with independent podcast producer Blanchard House to launch its latest original series, Stop Rewind: The Lost Boy.

Narrated by award-winning journalist Emma Jane Kirby, this 10-part investigative podcast tells the true story of Taj Khyber Rowland, a child born in rural India who was abducted from his family and sent to an adoptive family in the United States. Unaware of Taj’s origins and unable to understand his language, his new parents welcome him with love but without any knowledge of the trauma he endured.

Growing up as an American citizen and a member of the Mormon Church in Utah, Taj’s native language and early memories fade over time, along with any hope of returning home — until one day, decades later, his discovers a forgotten cassette tape he recorded as a young boy, and thus begins a quest to find his true identity.

Stop Rewind: The Lost Boy is a powerful story of memory, identity, and the long journey home,” says a Corus press release.

“Bringing our listeners compelling new podcasts has been our goal at Curiouscast from the very beginning,” said Chris ‘Dunner’ Duncombe, director of streaming and podcasting at Curiouscast, the press release. “Our partnership with Blanchard House builds on our commitment to introducing brand new voices and captivating storytelling. We are so excited for the launch of this show.”

Stop Rewind: The Lost Boy is the third Curiouscast podcast produced in partnership with Blanchard House. Previous co-produced podcasts include the award-winning Black and Blue: Behind the Badge and A Most Audacious Heist.
