TSN launches the TSN Shop in partnership with Shopsense AI

Bell Media announced last week it has expanded its previously announced partnership with Shopsense AI to now include TSN.

Launched last Friday during the CFL on TSN’s Friday Night Football broadcast, the new TSN Shop delivers a curated shopping experience for TSN viewers through Shopsense AI’s shoppable TV technology.

“During TSN broadcasts, viewers scan an on-screen QR code to browse and purchase merchandise, including wardrobe items inspired by those worn by TSN personalities, CFL team gear, road trip essentials, and much more,” a Bell Media press release explained. “Viewers can select the products they’re interested in, and are then redirected to the product website where they’re able to make a purchase.”

Bell Media said the launch of the TSN Shop “offers brands an innovative new way to reach customers through high-impact, in-game placements during sports broadcasts.” Brands can also sponsor collections of curated content showcasing their products and services in a custom virtual storefront.

“With the expansion of our Shopsense AI partnership to include TSN, we’re continuing to redefine how viewers interact with Bell Media content,” Matt McGowan, Bell Media’s recently hired senior vice president of business solutions, said in the press release. “This new collaboration allows sports fans to enjoy an interactive viewing experience, while we’re able to provide Bell Media clients with customized opportunities that connect them directly with TSN audiences.”

“With the launch of the innovative new TSN Shop, we’re giving Canadian sports fans a unique and exciting way to connect with their favourite teams and TSN personalities,” said Shawn Redmond, vice president of Bell Media Sports, in the Friday release. “This new partnership makes the TSN Shop the prime online destination for brands looking to reach fans across the country, debuting tonight in the CFL on TSN, and soon expanding to include many more of the marquee sports properties that live on Canada’s Sports Leader.”

Bell Media said the TSN Shop will expand into additional sports properties over the coming year.
