The Hollywood Reporter’s Access Canada Summit unveils inaugural advisory board


Access Canada in partnership with The Hollywood Reporter announced Monday the advisory board for the inaugural Access Canada Summit, which is scheduled to take place Sept. 8-10 at the Omni King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto, coinciding with the Toronto International Film Festival.

The advisory board members include:

  • Mark Bishop, co-president of Blue Ant Studios
  • Allison Brough, senior vice president of unscripted television at Blink49 Studios
  • Vanessa Case, vice president of content for Paramount+ and Pluto TV in Canada
  • Mike Cosentino, president and executive producer of CosMedia.Inc
  • Jocelyn Hamilton, president of television for Lionsgate Canada
  • Joy Loewen, vice president of growth and inclusion at the Canada Media Fund
  • Lea Marin, director of development, drama, at the CBC
  • Sara McLaren, director of communications and partnerships at Bell Media
  • Robin Mirsky, executive director of the Rogers Group of Funds for Rogers Communications
  • Meg Symsyk, president and CEO of FACTOR
  • Stephanie Wilson-Chapin, strategic partner lead for TV, sports and news for YouTube Canada

“In today’s dynamic media landscape, understanding the specific needs and challenges of the Canadian industry is more critical than ever. Access Canada Summit’s Advisory Board, comprised of influential voices from across media and entertainment, will be instrumental in guiding our program to address the most pressing questions facing the industry,” said Ferne Cohen, president of Access Canada, in a press release. “Thank you to the Advisory Board members whose involvement underscores the importance and potential of this new platform.”

Programming details of the three-day summit, including speakers, panels, roundtables, curated meetings and networking opportunities, will be announced in the coming weeks, the press release said.

Access Canada is also the event management agency behind The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Canada event, taking place May 29 at The Ritz-Carlton in Toronto.
