Telefilm funds 22 medium to large film festivals across Canada

Telefilm Canada announced Wednesday it is providing $1.6 million in funding for 22 Canadian film festivals under its Medium to Large-Scale Festivals Program, in its first round of decisions for this year. The program provides financial support to long-established medium to large-scale Canadian film festivals that help promote Canadian films and talent and stimulate demand for homegrown multiscreen content, Telefilm explained in a press release.
