Terrestar partners with Monogoto on hybrid cellular-satellite IoT connectivity

Montreal-based mobile satellite operator Terrestar Solutions announced Wednesday a strategic partnership with Monogoto, a cloud-based cellular network provider, to use hybrid cellular-satellite technology to enable seamless IoT connectivity across Canada. Adhering to 3GPP non-terrestrial network (NTN) Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) standards, Terrestar’s IoT connectivity services facilitate a seamless transition from cellular to satellite networks, a Terrestar press release explains.
