CMF, SODEC investing $3M in nine children and youth animation series from Quebec

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) announced last week a $3-million investment in nine Quebec-produced animation series for children and youth. The CMF-SODEC Prototyping of Children and Youth Animation Series Program, a new partnership announced in June 2024, aims to accelerate the creation of Quebec-made, original intellectual properties for children and youth animation series and facilitates their financing with broadcasters, distributors, and other national and international partners, a CMF press release explains.
