Always Mobile launches low-cost eSIM data plans for global travellers

Digital-first mobile service provider Always Mobile announced Tuesday its official launch, offering affordable eSIM-enabled data plans for international travellers.

An eSIM is a digital version of the physical SIM card in a mobile device that is used to connect to wireless networks. Users with eSIM-compatible devices can purchase an Always Mobile travel data plan and download an eSIM to create a second line on their mobile device allowing data usage separate from their primary line and home country mobile carrier’s data plan, explains an FAQ on Always Mobile’s website. Using a local data plan when travelling outside Canada can avoid roaming charges.

“Navigating through the complexities of international travel often entails facing hefty roaming charges, data restrictions or the hassle of managing multiple physical SIM cards,” reads an Always Mobile press release. “Always Mobile understands these challenges and endeavors to provide a hassle-free experience through its budget-friendly data plans.”

Always Mobile offers local, regional and global eSIM data plans with coverage in more than 150 destinations worldwide on quality 4G/5G networks, it says.

The company’s offerings extend beyond global travellers, catering to students and budget-conscious consumers looking for additional or low-cost mobile data beyond their monthly plan limits, the release says.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Always Mobile and empower travelers with cost-effective data solutions,” said Mike Stanford, founder and president of Always Mobile, in the release. “Our mission is to redefine what a telecommunications company can be. We are focused on being ultra-light, digital-first and providing seamless user experiences to give our customers unmatched convenience and savings vs. traditional large telecommunications companies.”
